ARS 14G Naald Decompressie Kit (14G x 3.25”)
De ARS 14G naald behoort tot de standaard uitrusting van militaire artsen en verpleegkundigen, Combat Life Savers (CLS) en Special Forces Medic (SF Medic) binnen de Nederlandse Defensie. De 14G x 3.25” naald catheter is bedoeld ter behandeling van een patiënt met een spanningspneumothorax. Voorgaand onderzoek gedaan door het U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research heeft aangetoond dat naald decompressie uitgevoerd met een 14G x 3.25” net zo succesvol is als het aanbrengen van een borst tube in het afblazen van opgebouwde druk in de borstholte. Het effect wordt voor tenminste 4 uur in stand gehouden met het catheter.
