Heatsaver System

The Heatsaver System consists of a set of products designed to prevent and treat hypothermia in trauma victims. It represents a significant advancement in preventing hypothermia and improving overall trauma care in complex environments. This unique product addresses all causes of heat loss in severely injured patients and is compatible with the XtractSR.

In practice, both military and civilian trauma cases have shown that patients with severe blood loss cool down dramatically fast, leading to serious complications.

The Heatsaver was originally designed for use with the XtractSR stretcher system but has since been adapted to also be compatible with other stretcher systems.

The Heatsaver system includes:

• Insulation mattress (XtractSR Insulate)
• Heatseal blanket (XtractSR Heatseal)
• EPS cover (XtractSR EPS)
• Storage bag (XtractSR Deployer)

The insulation mattress is designed for adult use and requires inflation with five full breaths. It is shaped to fit the human body, providing a surface for the casualty to lie on. The Heatseal, with leg panels, should be placed over the torso and wrapped around the neck and head. The EPS cover can be used to fully cover the casualty and protect them from rain and other environmental elements.
